The Beirut Barracks Memorial honors the 241 American servicemen who were killed in the October 23, 1983 bombing of American Marines barracks in Beirut, Lebanon. The memorial is located in section 59.
The flowers at the Beirut Memorial Grove were in bloom in time for the 33rd Beirut Remembrence. Chosen for their tendancy to do so, the flowers can be seen in full bloom during October of each year.
A tablet commemorates the 241 US marines, sailors and soldiers who lost their lives on October 23, 1983 during a suicide bombing of the USMC Barracks in Beirut Lebanon.
