As you are already aware, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Col. Timothy Geraghty, former commander of the 24th Marine Amphibious Unit (24th MAU). Col. Geraghty’s leadership and service left a lasting impact on those who served under him, and he will be deeply missed by the Beirut Veteran and Marine Corps communities.
His family has shared that there will be multiple funeral services to honor his life, with a final burial at Arlington National Cemetery. We will share additional details regarding services and accommodations as they become available.
