Each year on October 23, a Remembrance Observance is held at the Beirut Memorial to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Beirut Remembrance: The 2025 Memorial Observance will take place at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Lejeune Memorial Gardens, located at 100 Montford Landing Road, Jacksonville, NC. The Lejeune Memorial Gardens are outside the gate to Camp Johnson.

This annual ceremony commemorates the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Marine Barracks in Beirut and takes place at the Beirut Memorial within Lejeune Memorial Gardens at Camp Lejeune.

Candlelight Vigil: The day will also include a pre-dawn candlelight service at 6 AM and consists of the reading of names on the Remembrance Wall.
